Mayo Backup Trauma
I tried out our daycare program called “Mayo Backup” today. Essentially it is for Mayo employees (Dan is considered an employee here) to use when they need backup daycare. You can take your children there 20 times a year, and pay $15.00 for the whole day no matter how many children you have. They only accept like 14 toddlers- Michael’s age- and you have to get in on the list like a month ahead of time if you want to a spot for a particular day. I just did half-day with Michael today since I taught dance this morning and the regular sitter is in Hawaii (yeah, I wish I were in Hawaii). Anyhow, Michael must have had a traumatic experience there or something because he was so grouchy and clingy all afternoon. Screamed and cried, and let me tell you, had some major temper tantrums especially when I tried to get him down for a nap. Don’t know if it was the backup daycare or due to the fact that all 4 of his eyeteeth are coming in, but man, what a day. He’s asleep in our bed right now- I didn’t have the heart to put him in is crib and let him cry himself to sleep like always. He loves lying in our bed next to me and falling asleep that way. Maybe it is time to get him a toddler bed so I can lay down with him every night. Poor little guy. He has yet to stir. Meanwhile, Dan is here next to me studying for a midterm tomorrow and I’m having fun with Photoshop playing around with some filters I just learned about. Check out some of the fun images I’ve been playing around with:

oh..poor michael! That is great that you have that option to leave him at a great place (at least I’m pretty sure it’s great
) for so cheap!
He is so cute. He gets cuter and cuter all the time.
